ABEC – Annular Bearing Engineering Committee It is a special subgroup of experts that develops rules and standards applicable to bearings. Bearings are little circle pieces that help your wheels spin well. The ABEC rating is a scale to indicate precision and quality of the bearings. ABEC-Rated bearings are rated on a scale, and the higher that number, the better and more precise the bearings. ABEC 1 is the lower quality, whereas ABEC 5 and above are of good quality and of their higher performances.
Very good bearings used are high-quality bearings in ABEC 5 produced and designed specifically for making demands of skilled skaters. This is an excellent bearing for the speed demon trying to get more out of their skateboard/rollerblade. They do a great job of enhancing your skating experience.
