Compared with steel balls, the main advantages of silicon nitride ceramic balls are:
1, 59% lighter than the steel ball, greatly reducing the centrifugal force, rolling and wear of the channel when the bearing is running at high speed and acceleration;
2, the elastic modulus is 44% larger than the steel, which means that the deformation is greatly reduced than the steel ball when the force is stressed;
3, the hardness is higher than steel, HRC reached 78;
4, the friction coefficient is small;
5, the coefficient of thermal expansion is 1/4 of steel, can withstand temperature upheaval;
6, easy to obtain almost smooth surface finish;
7, high temperature resistance: silicon nitride ceramic ball at 1050°C temperature still has a high strength, hardness;
8, never rust, can work under oil-free lubrication conditions;
9, more chemical corrosion resistance than steel;
10, no metal pollution;
11, non-magnetic;
